Vintage Buttons

Welcome to Whitebeach Home and Living's first official blog!

I look foward to sharing with you my interior design tips and inspirational ideas for your home.

I believe your home should be a reflection of who you are with a collection of personal items that mean something to you and your family.

You may like to start a collection of something that reminds you of your childhood or a relative. For me my special collection is a jar of vintage buttons passed onto me by my mother who would rescue buttons off worn dresses and cardigans to reuse on something new that she would make for the next special occasion.I love the shapes and feel of the buttons combined with the thoughts of where they may have been in the past, perhaps on a beautiful cocktail dress or hand knitted cardigan.

Each button represents a piece of my mothers past and then seems so much more than purely a button!
I look foward to bringing you more inspirational ideas soon.
